Kybella Injections: Now Approved by FDA (New Fat Reduction Injections)

posted by

Kybella Injections, the new fat-reducing injectable drug have just been approved by the FDA. From their initial clinical studies it looks like it’s going to be a great option for those looking to lose fat in the neck area without surgery. It doesn’t seem to help with those with a lot of excessive skin but will be looked to as an alternative to surgery.

As of right now to lose fat in that area, the popular options are to suck the fat out or cut it out. Kybella looks to dissolve the fat under the chin. Kybella, a deoxycholic acid, is a naturally occuring molecule in the body that aids in the breakdown of dietary fat. Most people will need injections at least monthly over the course of six months and up to 60 injections in one treatment session. Kybella is manufactured by Kythera Biopharmaceuticals Inc in Westlake Village, California.
